• Account information, if you create an account: your email/password, or basic profile information (name, email) if you sign in with Google.
• Any information you include in messages sent through our contact form or WhatsApp.

Information collected automatically:

• Basic usage data (pages visited, device/browser type) through standard web technologies.
• Cookies necessary for the Site to function, such as keeping you signed in. We may also use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the Site; these may set additional cookies. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect Site functionality.

Information we do NOT collect or store:

• We never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or net banking credentials. All online payments are processed directly by Razorpay through their secure hosted checkout — Arovane's systems only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed, never your raw payment details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and fulfil your orders, including shipping and customer service communications.
• Create and manage your account, if you choose to create one.
• Send order confirmations, shipping/tracking updates, and respond to enquiries.
• Improve the Site and understand how it's used.
• Comply with legal obligations (e.g., tax, consumer protection recordkeeping).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Who We Share Information With

We share information only as needed to run the business:

• Razorpay (payment processing) — receives what's necessary to process your payment; never receives more than industry-standard checkout data.
• Supabase (our database and hosting infrastructure provider) — stores order, account, and contact form data securely on our behalf.
• Resend (email delivery) — used to send order confirmations, shipping updates, and respond to contact form submissions.
• Google — if you choose "Continue with Google" to sign in, Google shares your basic profile info (name, email) with us as authorized by you during that sign-in.
• Courier/logistics partners — your name, address, and phone number are shared with our delivery partner solely to deliver your order.
• Law enforcement or regulators, only if required by law.

We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

4. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including using providers (Supabase, Razorpay, Resend) that maintain industry-standard security practices, and restricting access to customer data (e.g., Row Level Security so customers can only ever see their own orders, addresses, and account data). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.

5. Data Retention

We retain order and account information for as long as needed to fulfil orders, comply with legal/tax obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see "Your Rights" below), subject to what we're legally required to retain (e.g., transaction records).

You may:

• Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information (editable directly in your account, or by contacting us).
• Request deletion of your account and personal data, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements.
• Opt out of promotional communications at any time (transactional emails like order confirmations will still be sent).
